I believe everyone should have access to high quality counselling at exactly the time they need it, without having to wait. I am a qualified counsellor with many years experience working with a wide range of issues and with people who come from a variety of backgrounds. This experience includes bereavement, domestic violence, low self-esteem, substance misuse, relationship difficulties, addictions, self-harm, trauma, abuse, social and family interactions, carer support, misophonia, divorce and separation, anxiety, panic attacks and depression.
I am passionate about the work I do, and the possibility each and every one of us has to change: to choose a life more fulfilling and become who we truly are. My core theoretical approach is person centred which is a client led style of therapy because I believe you know yourself better than anyone else does. However, I draw upon other modalities to create a bespoke approach for every client. I respond to each person’s unique needs with dignity, respect, lack of judgement, honesty and openness.
We all experience difficulties in our lives from time to time, but sometimes these problems can feel overwhelming and as if you have nowhere to turn. I am able to offer support during challenging and distressing times in a calm, confidential and supportive environment where you will feel heard and understood. Together we can work towards identifying and making sense of your difficulties and look at positive changes you may want to make in order to reach your potential and be the person you want to be.
